Wedding Video Melbourne – Natalie & Daniel – ‘Intimately Beautiful’

So this is our featured video of the week. Apart from my usual blogging on husband related material, I will obviously promote our business. Please enjoy our latest wedding video.

A couple so special, and a private ceremony that’s just as beautiful as their love for each other.

Natalie and Daniel both gorgeous looking, share the same qualities of uniqueness and a lil bit of weirdness that they just clicked. These two, matched the beauty from their outside appearance with their kindest hearts. And when they finally said their ‘I do’s’, we were all moved and dropped a tear or two.

We felt the love and intimacy of these two and the people who surround them all through out day. Indeed it was heart warming and we were privileged enough to be able to capture every tear, every laugh every kiss and every hug given on that momentous occasion.

With great joy and honor, we give you the most awaited wedding video of “Natalie & Daniel”

So I haven’t updated the blog for a while, and in that time all has mostly gone to routine. Anyways to start, every Monday my wife works at home, as we take Xavier to early learning class at Shichida. Basically it is a program where learning activities for Infants and Toddlers are designed for whole brain training: a balance between right and left brain stimulation by building synapses, and unleashing your child’s potential. So in layman’s terms it helps young children, with motor skills, reading, puzzles etc. Its actually great to see the variety of ages and levels of development in the children. Xavier is the youngest in his class, and being the only boy, he seems to have found his place among the girls.

We started off with just him and Sophia, who is about 2-3 weeks older than Xavier, and then along came Ashleigh, and this week Aimee. Xavier is in the Mandarin speaking class, so the teacher, teaches the children in Mandarin. Its funny watching Xavier in class as week by week his attention span has lasted a bit longer. He still can’t last a whole 50 minute class, however this week he lasted near to the end. All in all I think its a great achievement by all the students to be able to stay still and attentive for so long. Granted I have mostly only seen girls do the classes, and it is quite cute seeing little one year olds come out of the class walking out so happily.

After the class, Xavier usually is terribly tired and drained, and most of the time will fall to sleep in the car. I can’t blame him. I won’t go into detail into any of the other activities during the week, as mostly its all been the same. We did though have a photo shoot with AXIOO (an Indonesian Studio), which involved mainly Xavier. I hope to post the photos soon, so in the mean time, we will just have to wait. There are a few snippets of the shoot below. Anyways I will be quite busy with wedding this week, so the updates may come at a snail pace. Hope everyone has a great week and weekend.

So my friend Jennifer at Sass Avenue has written a kind blog post about my studio Grandeur Films. Previously I had given her a little plug, so I decided to return the favour and write an official post about her new venture. You can read her post here Grandeur Films: Cinematic Wedding Videos.

The way she best describes to me, is that her blog is generally about everything and anything. Though to put it precisely she states that its not a blog about ‘nothing’ but a blog about ‘something’. Pure genius she tells me, but in actual fact, I’m sure a lot of bloggers out there feel the same. For House Husbands, it is a world for me to talk about all things related to my life. On the most part it is obviously about my journey between Xavier and I, but at the same time, it is a place for me to vent.

Anyways not to steer away from the course, I think Jennifer has taken a great step, her whimsical approach and some what bold humour really takes you aback. Honestly in person you wouldn’t have sensed in this pint sized innocent girl (and I’m sure she will kick me for calling her pint size), lay dormant a more confident, raw and outspoken person. Sure, her close friends, probably know this already, but for me her humour stands out the most. To quote her.

We live in a world of routine and mundaneness. So let’s make it a mission to keep sassing about something! Whether it be an experience, a thought, a product or absolutely anything. For better or worse, let’s share our loves, our hates and our weird and wonderful experiences in a humorous way. Because let’s face it, life is too short to be boring. Let us live through your experiences and in turn you can live through ours.

An excerpt about my discussion with her and the twist of my words. You can clearly see, how sassy she is.

So I asked what do you have, that others do not when it comes to cinematic videography. His answer? “If you love being Over The Top (OTT), then you’ll love us! And because we are sick ass Asians, we know how dramatic and romantic your videos need to be. Korean and Pilipino drama-style touches, but executed with class.” That means, no Gangnam Stylez. But only if you don’t want to. Okay, so he may not have said it in those exact words, but you get the jist of it. Just ask him for yourself.

If you are engaged please visit her blog at Sass Avenue. If your after a quick pick me up or just a laugh, I am sure Jennifer can appease to your needs. Or if you just want to stare at her “I Want You Now” pose, then please feel free to contact her.

house husband day 2 and 3

So day 2 was more of a challenge. Xavier woke up at 2 am, then from 3 am to 4 am he decided to test his vocal capacity. I think he woke up one more time after that and then slept till about 9:30 am, where I woke him up to feed. I think me feeling under the weather didn’t help, hence day 2 felt like it would never end, but we got through the day and although not as smooth as day 1, it still was a success in my eyes.
Sticking to the routine has helped, and I stress that its a constant battle between Xavier and I. The power struggle for man of the house still exists, and Xavier will test my resilience. But there were some milestones for the day, we went for a 20 minute walk, played, laughed, as well as falling asleep when I placed him in the bassinet without any prior rocking, woo hoo.

I won’t talk too much about Day 3 as we decided to leave him with the grand parents for the day. However he did reach a milestone, no crying in the car for the whole trip to his grand parents restaurant. Honestly since starting as a house husband, the car rides have been great. Although I have to sing to him to calm him down on a few occasions, for most of the time, he has been quite content. Today he fell asleep straight away, and hence silence. My wife dreads driving alone with Xavier in the car, but I’ve found that singing to him works and for now its my own little house husband trick.

So today I thought, I would write about what I do. I am a graphic designer, however now work as a cinematographer/director at Grandeur Films. We provide story telling to all sorts of clients, with wedding and corporate videos as the main forte. We love to work on Same Day Edits, and for us as a studio, we want to change the perception of wedding videos in Melbourne and also Australia. Times are changing, and brides are becoming more savvy. If you would like to learn more about Grandeur Films, or watch any of our wedding videos, please visit www.grandeurfilms.com.au or www.vimeo.com/grandeurfilms. Inserted below is our first Same Day Edit in Melbourne.

Also if your looking for a great blog to read. Please visit my friend Jennifer’s blog http://sassavenue.com/blog/. I love her whimsical approach to life and her perception of it. She’s a strong, an open minded girl, who would love to discuss anything.

house_husband_day_1

Hoorah. My first day as a house husband with little man Xavier, has been some what of a success. Although prior to today, it was all doom and gloom, even anxiety attacks, I must admit, I never expected it to go so smoothly. Apart from a minor hitch, where I may have had been kicked with faeces, all was not lost. I guess it came down to sticking to the routine, which my wife had set in place prior.

After that it was just sticking to the game plan, rocking him to sleep when he showed signs of fatigue, and feeding him when needed. It’s not rocket science, but I guess for the husband that stays at home, it can be a little daunting. Why? We don’t have those magical breasts like women do, and for whatever powers it may have, infants seem to know, boob equals comfort. All in all I am looking at making this blog my own personal journey with Xavier, as we battle to and fro, to garner who is the man of the house.

I know all days aren’t going to be like this, but it does give me the confidence in knowing, that I can do this. I have watched quietly, studying how my wife would care for Xavier day in day out. If you are engaged and can relate to what I have to say, please feel free to participate.
